Question: Is the Popular Doctrine correct or is the original scripture correct?

POP-DOC ‘Book-Mark’ [2Kings chapter 21 verse 7]
ORIGINAL:
2Ki 21:7 “And he set a graven image of the Asherah which he had made in
the house, of which Jehovah had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this
house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I
will put My name forever.”
REPLACEMENT: 2Ki 21:7 “And he set
a graven image of the Asherah which he had made in the house, of which Jehovah had said to David and to

all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.”
REASON: Popular Doctrine shows that God abandoned Jerusalem and the
Temple, (this house), PERMANENTLY as of the Babylonians in 604 BC!! Therefore part
of this verse should be removed from scripture!
