British Israel - David’s Royal Line Parts 1-8

Revision

In Part 1 I looked at the covenant promise to Abraham of an everlasting throne and royal line from his seed, and the Promised Land. Part 2 we saw that Israel ‘Demanded’ God to give them a king, with first Saul the ‘rotten egg', and then finally how David comes to power. Part 3 we focused on what I called ‘God’s BIG Plan’, and the promise of an everlasting family lineage of David to rule over Israel. BUT Israel will be permanently moved to a new location? Part 4 we did a quick search for scriptural conformation of the promises to David. Part 5 we looked at The Decline Of David’s Line. Part 6 we investigated why the belief in the continued royal line of David ‘Becomes A Faith Message’. Part 7 we looked at the comparison of Melchizedek and Jesus. Then searched scriptures just to see what the world knew of Jesus during the thirty-three years He was here.

Aim

We will look again at Melchizedek and Christ’s “Once and for all sacrifice”! Then search the scriptures to find out what would be the role of Jesus Christ during the millennium and into eternity. Then we will come to our conclusion.

Jesus High Priest and King

For more about Melchizedek we can go to Hebrews. Paul speaks at length all through Hebrews building a mental picture for us of the perfection of Christ and His supreme sacrifice culminating with chapter 10 “Christ's Sacrifice Once for All”. It is a lengthy read but when was the last time you read through the whole of Hebrews? Get yourself a cupper and put it on audio for 10-15 minutes.

Some highlights are, Paul speaks of the priesthood office of Aaron then shows the higher priesthood role of Christ starting in Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” Then in Hebrews 5:5 “So also Christ did not glorify Himself to be made a high priest, but He who said to Him, "You are My Son, today I have begotten You." :6 As He says also in another place, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek." :7 For Jesus, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong cryings and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared, :8 though being a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. :9 And being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all those who obey Him, :10 being called by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek;” Paul also makes similar comparison references of Jesus to Melchizedek in Hebrews chapter 6 through to chapter 7.

Paul speaks of the perfection required of the priesthood and that Christ has achieved that perfection. In that Christ has entered into the hole of holies in heaven itself and offered His own blood on the alter in heaven. Hebrews 10:10 “By this will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. :12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins foreversat down on the right of God, :13 from then on expecting until His enemies are made His footstool. :14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.

Therefore Christ’s role as High Priest is now finished! It is the fulfilment of Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.” As I said Christ’s role as High Priest is effectively finished or completed and it is now eternally ongoing. So lets look at His role as King!

The Eternal Kingship Of Jesus

God confirms His covenant with Christ that He would have an everlasting kingship in several passages; let’s look at a few.

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. :7 There is no end of the increase of His government and peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on, even forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.”

Isa 16:5 “And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle (or it’s the house) of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.”

Isa 22:22 “And the key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. :23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.”

Jer 23:5 “Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do judgment and justice in the earth. :6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, JEHOVAH, OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Jer 33:14 “Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will establish the good thing which I have spoken to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. :15 In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land. :16 In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely. And this is the name with which she shall be called, JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

Eze 34:22 “therefore I will save My flock, and they shall no more be a prey. And I will judge between lamb and lamb. :23 And I will set up one Shepherd over them, and He shall feed them, My servant David. He shall feed them, and He shall be their Shepherd. :24 And I Jehovah will be their God, and My servant David a ruler among them. I Jehovah have spoken.”

Jesus as King and High Priest in the Revelation

We have a couple of different lines of thought we need to address. Do we believe in the pre-tribulation rapture or do we go straight into the Second Advent? This is really important if we read Revelation chapter 20 verses 4-5 shown below! Because in verse 4 it speaks of all those who went through the Great tribulation, and they are those who are seated on thrones, and they rule and reign with Christ during the thousand years! The “CLINCHER” is, in verse 4, they are called THE FIRST RESURRECTION! So how can we have a pre-tribulation rapture; which includes the died in Christ "being raised"; and that ‘rapture’ supposedly happens some seven years before the first resurrection???? Personally, I believe we go straight into the Second Advent! I have done a few different talks on this subject if you’re interested; for example, IS There A RAPTURE? Anyway, let's look at Revelation.

We can skip through the various verses starting with revelation chapter 5, John is in the throne room of God and the Lamb receives the sealed book/scrolled. Rev 5:9 “And they sang ..You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and ..redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every ..nation. :10 And You made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign over the earth. :11 And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels ..:12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.” So Christ the ‘Lamb’ is worthy!

Rev 11:15 “And the seventh angel sounded. And there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ. And He will reign forever and ever.”

Rev 12:5 “And she bore a son, a male, who is going to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.” Then Satan was kicked out of heaven; Rev 12:10 “And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ…”

Rev 17:14 “These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome themFor He is Lord of lords and King of kings. And those with Him are the called and elect and faithful ones.”

Rev 19:11 “And I saw Heaven opened. And behold, a white horse! And He sitting on him was called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He judges and makes war. :15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. ..:16 And He has on His garment, and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

The Thousand Years Reign Of Christ

Revelation chapter 20 gives us a very clear and brief agenda as to what happens during the 1000 years. Rev 20:1 “..an angel ..having the key of the bottomless pit ..:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, ..serpent, ..the Devil, ..Satan, and bound him a thousand years, :3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, ..that he should deceive the nations no more ..till the thousand years ..be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Then the start of the millennial kingdom is established! Rev 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. :5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION. :6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” During the thousand years Christ RULES with a rod if iron. The whole world must live in harmony and come to worship annually, OR pay the penalty! As in Zechariah chapter 14 verses 17-18. But after a thousand years of life without Satan meddling in thing, the thousand years is finished. Then even after a thousand years of possible plenty, people by the millions still chose to rebel and side with Satan! Then as in Rev 20:4 above, ‘Satan must be loosed a little season’. Then in only 4 verses there is a very short war and Satan is cast into the lake of fire forever and ever.

The Great White Throne

Eternity starts; Revelation 20 verses 11-15 describe this scene. But what Kingship part does Christ play in this picture? If you read through it you will find ALL, ‘great and small’ are raised and come before God the father! Rev 20:15 “And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.” So Jesus is your Defence Attorney with His lamb’s book of life as His Affidavit on your behalf!

Christ’s Role Into Eternity

For Christ’s role through eternity we can pick out the key phrases and list them here below then summarize at the end.

Rev 21:6 KJV “And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Rev 21:9 “And one of the seven angels who had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife.” [That’s us; we are Lamb’s wife]

Rev 21:22 KJV “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” [Partnership between God and the Lamb]

Rev 21:23 “And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated itand its lamp is the Lamb.” [Again Partnership between God and the Lamb]

Rev 22:1 “And he showed me a pure river of Water of Life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” [Again Partnership, joint rule from the same throne of God and the Lamb]

Rev 22:3 “And every curse will no longer be; but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him.” [Again, joint rule from the same throne of God and the Lamb. And we serve Him]

Rev 22:13 KJV “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Rev 22:16 KJV “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Summing Up

You can see from that last verse that Christ brought David into existence and became the ‘offspring of David’, a full circle! Also we see that God and the Lamb, (Christ), are joint partners throughout eternity. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Conclusion

It has been a lengthy study and I hope you have enjoyed it, and I am glad you have stayed with me to the end. I have tried to make it as interesting and entertaining as can be reasonable. We can see that God started with Abram, renamed him to Abraham, gave him a huge block of land and blessed him with a son and heir, Isaac. From whom God produced a nation and a company of nations. Then He established a kingdom and a royal family line, which would last for Eternity!

As Jesus has said in Revelation 21:6 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. And in Revelation 22:16 “I am the root and the offspring of David,” Jesus was involved with the whole plan from beginning to end! And with Him in charge there was NO Way the plan could fail!

Part 6 we investigated why the belief in the continued royal line of David ‘Becomes A Faith Message’

Aim

I want to search through the scriptures to find any reference comparing Melchizedek and Jesus. Then a quick search of the scriptures and any prophecies referring to the time Christ was on earth, just to see what the world knew of Him during the thirty-three years He was here.

The Order of Melchizedek

Melchisedec is a very interesting bloke, as you can see his name has two different spellings, depending on what version of the bible your reading; and if you are in the Old or New Testament? For example he is ‘Melchizedek in MKJV in both Old and New Testament? He is also Melchizedek in the KJV OldT’? BUT he is Melchisedec in the KJV NewT’? And I haven’t even bothered with all the other 50 or more translations I have on eSword! So tip-toe through the bible carefully when looking for him. He is also very interesting because he first appears in Geneses chapter 14, then the apostle Paul makes reference to him in Hebrews chapters 5, 6 and 7 as a type and shadow of Christ. Let’s check him out.

Gen 14:18 “And Melchizedek the king of SalemH8004 brought forth bread and wine. And he was the priest of the most high God. :19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of Heaven and earth. :20 And blessed be the most high God, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.” The key point of interest is that word Salem. From Strong’s word number, “H8004שָׁלֵםshâlêm; shaw-lame'; From Strong’s “The same as H8003; peaceful; Shalem, an early name of Jerusalem: - Salem.” So Melchizedek was BOTH king and High Priest of the most high God! Which foreshadows the role that Christ will fulfil at his Second Advent as King of this earth, and He will reign from Jerusalem, (Salem), and he is already fulfilling the role as eternal High Priest now in heaven, which we will look into later!

King And High Priest

The duel roll of both king and high priest was not uncommon in many ancient cultures. If you look up King and Priest cultures, Google will tell us of various cultures, both ancient and recent. It speaks of, ‘king-priests of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley’. You can find king-priests in Assyrian, Babylonian, Medo-Persian and in some periods of the Greek and Roman cultures. All of these cultures the Israelites and Jews were familia with. But it was never allowed or accepted in the nation of Israel. So it is interesting that there are prophesies in the bible that speak of Israel having a King-Priest in the future. Just a thought, England split from the Church of Rome? The Pope is Head of the Church of Rome? England established their King as Head of the Church of England? Well if the British Israel belief is correct, the throne of England is the throne of David? Then when Christ returns He will take that throne, correct? Which would be the fulfilment of Luke 1:32. He will then enrich or elevate the existing title of 'King and Head of the Church' to “King and High Priest! I think that is quite interesting!

Melchizedek is also mentioned in Psalm 110:1 “A Psalm of David. Jehovah said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as Your footstool. :2 Jehovah shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies. :3 Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power, in holy adornment from the womb of the morning: You have the dew of Your youth. :4 Jehovah has sworn, and will not repent, You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. :5 The Lord at Your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath.” NB the wording at the start; ‘Jehovah said to my Lord’, or in other translations, ‘The Lord said to My Lord’. It is a classic verse that most commentaries speak of being Jehovah God speaking to Messiah Christ! Let’s check a few commentaries.

[CN from C.S. Scofield on Psalms 110:1] “(2) This Psalm announces the eternal priesthood of Messiah--one of the most important statements of Scripture (Psa 110:4).”

[CN from TSK on Psalms 110:1] “am 2962, B.C. 1042 (Title), This Psalm was probably composed by David after Nathan's prophetic address; and, from the grandeur of the subject and the sublimity of the expressions, it is evident that it can only refer, as the ancient Jews fully acknowledged, to the royal dignitypriesthood, victories, and triumphs of the MESSIAH.”

[CN from ‘The Pulpit Commentary’ on Psa 110:4] “The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent. "A fresh revelation" (Cheyne). David, admitted into the councils of the Most High, has been made aware that the Messiah is, by God’s decree, to be both King and Priest. God has "sworn" this, and will certainly not draw back from his oath. Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Not, like ordinary priests, a priest for a few years, or for a lifetime, but a priest forever and ever (לעולם)—seeing "he ever liveth to make intercession for us" (Heb 7:25). And a priest "after the order of Melchizedek." Not, that is, after the order of Aaron, who was a priest and nothing more, but after that of Melchizedek, the elder priesthood, which combined the offices of priest and king (see Heb 5:6-10; Heb 7:1-10, Heb 7:20-28).”

Prophecies Of Christ From Just The Gospels

Let’s look to see if there were any prophesies about Christ mentioned or eluded to in just the gospels. To see if they would give us a rough idea of what the world expected to see happen at that time in history. And it was world wide because the ‘wise men’ from the east picked up on something from the stares! Therefore this was external to the close nit Jewish world. So God was making His announcement world wide in the stares for all to see if they had eyes to see. What the sign in the stars was; is still to this day a subject of speculation? But it is only mentioned in Matthew, I’ll brief it down; you can look it up for details, and we will just skim through the rest of the scriptures.

Matthew 2:1 “..in the days of Herod the..wise men came ..to Jerusalem, :2 saying, Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east...”! So Herod gathers his cronies, he demanded where Christ should be born. They quoted Micah 5:2 and said in Mat 2:6 "And you, Bethlehem, in ..Judah, ..For out of you shall come a Governor who shall rule My people Israel." So the information was there in the prophets. Also there was a timeline for them in the book of Daniel chapter 9:24, the Seventy weeks! So the whole of the priesthood should have known when Christ was to appear. [Summary Christ to be King and have Rulership]

Christ’s Conception Announced

Gabriel’s Announcement: - Briefly Gabriel told Mary she is the one! Refer Luke 1:31 “..You shall conceive ..bear a son ..call His name JESUS. :32  He shall be great ..Son of the Highest. And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David. :33  And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end." [Summary everlasting Kingship over House of Jacob/Israel from the throne of David!]

Joseph Mary’s Husband To Be:- Joseph had to be told that all was ok. Mat 1:20 “..the angel of the Lord appeared ..saying, Joseph, ..For that in her is fathered of the Holy Spirit. :21 ..you shall call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. :22 ..spoken of the LORD by the prophet, saying, :23 "Behold, the virgin shall conceive in her womb, and will bear a son. And they will call His name Emmanuel," which being interpreted is, God with us.”

[Summary Jesus is saviour also God with Us!]

Mary and Elizabeth: - In Luke 1:39-56 we have Mary and Elizabeth meeting with a joyful praise and worship time! [Summary No major prophetic announcements]

Christ’s Birth

The Shepherds In The Field: - Luke 2:11 “For to you is born today, in the city of David, a Savior, ..Christ the Lord.”

Jesus Presented At The Temple: - in Luke 2:25 “And behold ..Simeon. :27 ..he came by the Spirit into the temple ..as the parents brought in the child Jesus..:28  ..he received Him in his arms and blessed God, and said, :30  For my eyes have seen Your Salvation  :32  a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of Your people Israel. :34  And Simeon blessed ..and said to Mary ..this One is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel, and for a sign spoken against :35 (yea, a sword shall pierce through your own soul also), so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

Anna The Prophetess: - Luk 2:36 “..a prophetess, Anna …:38 And she coming in at that instant gave thanks to the Lord and spoke of Him to all those in Jerusalem eagerly expecting redemption.”

[Summary Jesus the Savior, A light to the Nation, He is the glory of Israel, and of a revealing.]

So far we have some glorious things prophesied about Jesus but the key things I’m looking for are those regarding His kingship. And we have only found them in Matthew 2 and Luke 1. And except for when Jesus was 12 years old, He seemed to live a life of obscurity until His baptism at 30 years of age.

John Baptist Know and Expected To See The Messiah

Joh 1:35 “..John stood with two of his disciples. :36  And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God"! So John was given the revelation as to Christ’s role! The two disciples of John followed Jesus. One of them, Andrew, went to get his brother Simon Peter and said in John 1:41 “..We have found the Messiah (which is, being translated, the Christ).”

[Summary John received revelation Jesus was the Christ and Lamb of God; and Andrew accepted that and ran with it!]

Messengers from John the Baptist

In Matthew 11, John was in prison, he sent two of his disciples to ask Jesus, ‘Are you the one or do we look for another?’

Mat 11:4 “Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John again those things which you hear and see: :5 the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear; the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel proclaimed to them.” Jesus was effectively telling John that the Messiah was to be identified by these ‘signs’! And that Jesus was fulfilling them as prophesied in Isa 29:18, Isa 30:4-6, Isa 35:4-6, Isa 61:1-2, Eze 36:1-38 and Eze 37:1-28; just to name a few!

[Summary Jesus was the fulfilment of the role of the Messiah at the right time and the right place!]

Caiaphas The High Priest’s Prophecy

This is very interesting because it shows that God can even use an evil High Priest to achieve what God wants done!

John 11:49 “And one of them, Caiaphas, being the high priest of that year, said to them, You do not know anything at all, :50 nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation perish. :51 And he did not speak this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;”

In summery ‘the prophecies of Christ from just the gospels’ haven’t given me the results I was looking for, namely His role as King and High Priest? There are probably some others that I haven’t found and if you can think of some please let me know in the comments thanks so that I can update this article for you. If we can now go to Part 8; British Israel - David’s Royal Line Part 8: - The Eternal Role Of Christ, we can hunt through the scriptures see what He will be doing during the Revelation, the Millennium and through to eternity. Then I’ll give you my short conclusion to tie all eight lesions together.

I hope you will stay with me as we explore Myths, Legends, Prophecies and the Internet. To try to find some breadcrumb trail that God may have left us in order to guess at where the throne of David could be today.

At this point in scripture we have NO HARD evidence in scripture or history to say definitively, “This is what happened to the daughters!” So this British Israel message then has to go by faith. And it really is a faith message in the same way as the salvation message is accepted by faith. You come to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith and accept that your sins are forgiven, then something deep inside of you melts and you crumble in the presents of Christ. Why? You have NO HARD evidence but you know that you know you know! You are saved, BY FAITH in Jesus Christ! So what happened to the daughters? I believe BY FAITH that God has kept His promises to David and somewhere in the world one of the girls continued the royal line. And GOD must have given us some kind of breadcrumb trial in scripture to show us He knew the end from the beginning, or vice-versa.

Myths Legend Prophecies and Faith

Ok so we are clutching at straws now. We know from scripture that God would NOT permit the line of David to fail! We know from scripture that the line must continue through the Kings daughters! And if so then what breadcrumb trail can we find in myths, legend, prophecies, scriptures or history, to piece together what God MIGHT have done? Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘where there is smoke there is fire’? Then Myths are much the same. You couldn’t come up with the story or legend, unless there was some idea or ‘seed’ to grow the Myth to become the legend? Do a deep dive into some of the Old English nursery rhymes, ‘Ring a Ring a Rosy’ and others etc. And you will find that those nursery rhymes have some basic of truth hidden in time. So lets just look at some of the myths and legends and then look at some prophecies to see if we can fug up a feasible scenario.

Myth

The story goes something like this, or if you like; “Once upon a Time in a Land Far Far away the Kingdom of Judah fell and the Babylonians slaughtered king Zedekiah and his entire male lineage. Jeremiah and the kings’ daughters were safely carried away by force to Egypt under the command of Johanan the military leader of the remnant of all Judah. Miraculously Jeremiah escaped by ship to Ireland with the daughters and ‘the stone of destiny’! There were numerous Israelite colonies and trading post throughout the Mediterranean which had been established as far back as King Solomon, refer 2Ch 9:21 “the ships of Tarshish”. On reaching Ireland Jeremiah presented the kings’ daughter, Tea Tephi to the Irish King Eochaidh II. They fell in love! And were happily married and had a son Irial I. From then on all the kings’ coronations were conducted in the presents of, ‘the stone of destiny’. Thus blessing the continuation of the royal line of David forever and ever. And the kingdom ‘lived happily ever after’.” Ha ha ha! You might well laugh, but I did say it was a myth. And are there perhaps some legends that it might be based upon?

Legend

You can then turn to legends and there are a host of articles you can search through the likes of: - Did The Prophet Jeremiah Go To Ireland or Jeremiah And The Stone Of Destiny or Tea Tephi in the bible or Exploration Mysteries Tea Tephi. Or Tea Tephi Queen of Ireland! Some are very interesting and informative. Some are just trying to poke fun at what they call, “British Iraelisum”! And anyone who calls that understanding an, ‘isum’ is derogatively inferring it is a religion. That’s like speaking of, ‘evolutionisum’! [And even my auto-spell check doesn’t recognize that!] All British Israel believers that I know are committed Christians who believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit! And that God made outstanding promises to David and the Nation of Israel and those promises MUST be fulfilled in the world somewhere somehow! Anyway I’ll get off my soapbox. The point being is some of these links will make reference to other links and you can have a field day clicking through from site to site and find more and more bread-crumbs! Which in turn help to substantiate the ‘Myth!

Scriptures

So this brings us back to searching through the scriptures. Lets see what we can find.

The Tender Twig

You might find this whole chapter is quit revealing. It speaks of two great eagles. And you may recall in Revelation chapter 12 verse 14 “And two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly into the wilderness"? WOW! And I have spoken of this in another talk entitled, REVELATION - What Might God DO Next. I suggested that the woman was Israel, ALL 12 Tribes! The Northern Kingdom moving into the wilderness, was the British Isles recently vacated by the Romans, leaving all the Roman roads and the infrastructure etc. ready for the early Britain's to occupy. Example “the appointed place”! 2Sa 7:10 “And I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their ownand move no more.” Have a read of this whole chapter in Ezekiel 17. I have divided it into three sections. God in his typical rhyming way, Makes a Statement! Then He goes into why He has done it. Then He goes back to His original statement and elaborates. I will give you some notes with my thoughts as we read.

Section 1

Eze 17:1 “And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, :2 Son of man, put out a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel. [We need to stop hear and have a GOOD Think! The House of Israel is the northern kingdom! Ezekiel is writing in about the time of 580 BC! In 720 BC, about 140 years earlier the house of Israel became the Lost 10 Tribes! Refer 2Ki 17:23 "So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria until this day.” So Ezekiel is told to write to this bunch of people, (house of Israel), and tell them about the fall of the line of David in the Southern kingdom of Judah! Why?] Verse:3 And say, So says the Lord Jehovah: A great eagle with great wings, long of pinion, full of feathers, who had different colors, came to Lebanon and took the highest branch of the cedar. [the cedars of Lebanon is symbolic of the royal line of David] Verse :4 He plucked off the top of its young twigs and carried it into a land of traders. He set it in a city of merchants. :5 He also took of the seed of the land and planted it in a fruitful field. He placed it by great waters and set it as a willow tree. [“by GREAT Waters”, has to be a reference to a sea and the British Isles were referred to as the "Tin Islands" or a place for traders]. Verse: 6 “And it grew and became a spreading low vine, whose branches turned toward him. And its roots were under him. So it became a vine and brought out branches and shot out boughs.” [‘Shot out boughs’, could be an inference ‘branching out into colonies’]

Section 2

God’s Account of The Kings Treachery

Refer to Ezekiel chapter 17 verses 7 to 21 below. You can read this second section if you like, but it is a brief summary of the treachery of King Zedekiah for despising the oath that Nebuchadnezzar made him take in the name of Jehovah, refer 2Ch 36:13. So God wiped the slate of the Kingdom in the location of Judah altogether! In the last verses it says it all, Eze 17:21 “And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered toward all winds. And you shall know that I Jehovah have spoken.”

Eze 17:7 “There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers. And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him and shot out its branches toward him, that he might water it, away from the beds of its planting. :8 It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring out branches, and that it might bear fruit, to be a splendid vine. :9 Say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Shall it prosper? Shall he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, and wither it? All the leaves of its sprouting shall wither, and not with great arm, nor by many people shall any raise it by its roots. :10 And behold, being planted, shall it prosper? Shall it not utterly wither when the east wind touches it? It shall wither in the beds where it sprouted. :11 And the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, :12 Say now to the rebellious house: Do you not know what these things mean? Tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon has come to Jerusalem and has taken its king and its rulers, and brings them to himself to Babylon. :13 And he has taken of the king's seed and has made a covenant with him, and has taken an oath from him. He has also taken the mighty of the land, :14 so that the kingdom might be low, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand. :15 But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, to give him horses and many people. Shall he be blessed? Shall he who does such things escape? Or shall he break the covenant and be delivered? :16 As I live, says the Lord Jehovah, surely in the place of the king who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. :17 Nor shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company work for him in the war, by pouring out siege mounds and building forts, to cut off many persons. :18 And he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant. And, behold, he had given his hand, and has done all these, he shall not escape. :19 Therefore so says the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely My oath that he has despised, and My covenant that he has broken, I will even repay it on his own head. :20 And I will spread My net on him, and he shall be taken in My snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and I will judge him there with his sin which he has sinned against Me. :21 And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered toward all winds. And you shall know that I Jehovah have spoken.

Section 3

Eze 17:22 “So says the Lord Jehovah: I, even I, will also take of the top of the highest cedar and will set it; I will crop off from the first of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.” [young tender twig? Symbolic of a female of the line of the ‘cedar’] [And ‘a mountain of Israel’ is symbolic of a part of the Northern Kingdom of Israel] Verse :23 “In a mountain, in a high place of Israel, I will plant it. And it shall bear boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. And under it shall dwell every bird of every wing; in the shadow of its branches they shall dwell. :24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I Jehovah have brought down the high treehave exalted the low treehave dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish. I Jehovah have spoken and acted.”

The symbolism of the two trees is speaking of two Kingdoms. The Kingdom of Judah, ‘the high, green tree’. And the Kingdom of the Lost Ten Tribes scattered north then west from the Caucasus Mountains, i.e. The low dry tree’. There is a really good book entitled: - The Post Captivity Names of Israel. And it will shed a ‘SEARCH LIGHT’ on a vast wealth of information on “who’s who” in the world and where they came from. And it will help to explain all of this Lost Ten Tribe business. I suggest you get a copy.

OVERTURN OVERTURN OVERTURN

First off the MKJV which says “Ruin, ruin, ruin”, doesn’t supply the meaning as does the KJV.

Eze 21:26-27 “So says the Lord Jehovah: Remove the diadem, and take off the crown. This shall not be as it was. Lift up the low one, and put down the high one. :27 Ruin, ruin, ruin, I will appoint it. Also this shall not be until the coming of Him whose is the right. And I will give it to Him.” Now the KJV. Eze 21:26-27 KJV 26 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. 27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.”

If we look at the line of David as being transferred to Ireland, then what is the meaning of, “overturn, overturn, overturn"? Well the throne was removed from Judah and went to Ireland, then it was transferred by Fergus 1 to Scotland. Then the throne was transferred to England via King James VI of Scotland who became James I of England at the death of Elizabeth I. So? Well the throne was overturned and went to Ireland, overturned and went to Scotland, then overturned and went to England! That sort of fits the prophecy quite well!

The Pillar Or ‘Stone of Destiny’?

The Stone of Destiny also know as the Stone of Scone, or also known as An Lia Fàil. Those links are like Myths and legends, now let’s look at scripture. I have collected a list of commentary notes using eSword, and most of them are in reference to the passage in 2 Kings chapter 11 verse 14. It is also in 2Ch 23:13. The story is about the young seven-year-old surviving true prince of Israel, Joash the son of Ahaziah. He was hidden for seven years. When he was crowned king there is the mention of a “pillar”! WHAT was it? I have underlined some parts of their notes to bring out some key points. These notes give us some interesting thoughts. Or are these references to the ‘Stone of Destiny’? You be the judge.

CN from Pulpit on 2Ki 11:14 And when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar; rather, on the pillar, or on the raised platform. The king’s proper place in the temple seems to have been a raised standing-place (הָעַמּוּד, from עָמֹד, to stand)” ….[Also in Pulpit this is in reference to Genesis 28:20 re Jacob] "If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go  so that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God; and this stone, which I have set for a pillar,”

CN by Keil & Delitzsch on 2 Kings 11:4-20 “The עַמּוּדupon which the king stood, was not a pillar, but an elevated standing-place

CN by John Gill on 2 Kings 11:14 “Of kings, when they came into the temple on any occasion, civil or religious, therefore it is called his pillar, 2Ch 23:13, ..according to Jacob Leo (f), this was the royal throne in the court of the Israelites, near the high or upper gate, on a marble pillar, where the kings of the house of David sat,”

CN by Matthew Henry on 2 Kings 11:13-16 “She saw the king's place by the pillar possessed by one to whom the princes and people did homage”

CN by Joseph Benson on 2 Kings 11:14 “Behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was — It is generally supposed that the royal throne was erected near one of the pillars,”

CN by Cambridge Bible on 2 Kings 11:14 “stood by a [R.V. the] pillar] By this word is clearly designated some spot which was the special position of the king on such occasions.”

CN by Adam Clarke on 2 Kings 11:14 “The king stood by a pillar - Stood On a pillar or tribunal; the place or throne on which they were accustomed to put the kings when they proclaimed them.”

CN by Albert Barnes on 2 Kings 11:14 “By a pillar - Rather, “upon the pillar” probably a sort of stand, or pulpit, raised on a pillar.”

CN from Expositor’s Bible on 2 Kings 22:1-23:37 “Thereupon the king summoned to the Temple a great assembly of priests, prophets, and all the people, and, standing by the pillar (or "on the platform") in the entrance of the inner court,”

Whatever this ‘pillar’ was it was an important and crucial part of the process for the coronation of the kings of Israel. Without that ‘pillar’ the king perhaps may note be a legitimate king? So when Jeremiah escaped with the king’s daughters’, did he also grab that ‘pillar’ and kart it off to Egypt. Then later transport it to Ireland?

Faith

I said at the start of this Part 6, “British Israel becomes a faith message”. You can search through dozens of books, chronicles and web sites and all the information is so far back in history that people just seem to ‘fob’ it off as, out of date, irrelevant or ancient history. So we can’t seem to be able to find any hard evidence. Look up Isaiah 54:8 and Ezekiel 39:23. It makes you wonder what God meant when He says, ‘He will hide His face from Israel’? I think He means He will sever physical or obvious contact with Israel and just watch over us at a distance. Finally after all this, I hope you can now see that although I have NO hard evidence, there seems to be enough bread crumbs to feed the five thousand.

You can only accept this by faith. And if someone wants to laugh at you about it, then so be it! But you could in turn ask them, “How do you make sense of when Gabriel said to Mary, God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David?” Then you could say, If the throne of David cessed to exist as of Zedekiah, refer Jer 52:10-11. Then Gabriel was an idiot to tell Mary; in Luke 1:32 “And the Lord God shall give Him the throne of His father David.”

Let’s go on to a slightly different subject. In Part 7; British Israel - David’s Royal Line Part 7: - Melchizedek And Jesus. We search through the scripture to find any reference comparing Melchizedek and Jesus. Then we look at Just the gospels to see what the world was expecting to see happen during the time Christ was on earth.
