There must be a large body of people in the world who are NOT Jews! Yet they fulfil all prophesies for the later day House of Israel -WHO??
British Israel 1.01 --- [For Beginners]Published 20230615 -:- Revised 20251014P
NB: I am dyslexic so please bear with me. Bible references are from MKJV unless noted otherwise.
What is ‘British Israel’? It is a teaching that believes the
British Commonwealth and the U.S.A. are foretold in scripture. They DO NOT
replace the Jews! They are NOT automatically ‘saved’ but they are God’s
“peculiar people” as in Exo 19:5; Deu 14:2; Deu 26:18 and Psa 135:4.
To understand British Israel we need to understand the 12
tribes and what happened to them. Firstly we know in Gen 32:28 God renamed
Jacob to ‘Israel’. He had 12 sons who became the fathers of the 12 Tribes of
Israel, or ‘The Children of Israel’. One of Israel’s sons, Joseph went to
Egypt; he became Pharaohs right-hand man, and he had two sons Ephraim and
Manasseh. Israel later ‘especially blessed’ these two boys.
The KEY Scripture For Identification
I believe the Key scripture for British Israel is in Gen 48
verses 10 to 20. Joseph’s father, Jacob (Israel), blessed Ephraim and Manasseh
with his hands crossed. Joseph tried to correct his father by trying to place
Israel’s right hand on the head of the eldest son, Manasseh. Gen 48:19 “And his
father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people,
and he also shall be great, but truly his younger brother shall be greater than
he is, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.” So Israel adopted
Ephraim and Manasseh; this gave Joseph a double blessing and created 13 tribes.
In the Promised Land the tribe of Levi received the priesthood and no land
entitlement, only cities of refuge scattered throughout all Israel. So Israel
the nation functioned territorially as 12 tribes. As far as the ‘Crossed hand
Blessing’ goes to this point, Ephraim is still only ONE tribe among the 13
tribes? And not “a multitude of nations” as yet.
The SPLIT
After King Solomon the 12 tribes split up, 10 tribes
consisting of Ephraim, Manasseh and others separated from the royal line of David. The 2 tribes Judah and
Benjamin remained loyal. The Levites were kicked out of Israel 2Ch 13:9. NB:
This split was confirmed by God as His plan and purpose 1 Ki 12:24.
The Ten tribes, (the Northern Kingdom), became known as
ISRAEL or ‘The house of Israel’ (believed to be the ancestors of the British
etc.).
The Two tribes, with the Levites, (the Southern Kingdom),
became known as Judah or ‘The house of Judah’. Later they were called ‘Jews’!
Israel was captured by the Assyrians and taken away to
Media, “where they remain to
this day.” 2King17:23. Now called the lost 10 tribes.
Judah was captured by the Babylonians and taken to Babylon;
some returned 70 years later. They were the only three tribes to return!
NONE of ‘The house of Israel’ returned. Ezra 2:1 clearly
says only the Jews came back “unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his
city.”
As for the ‘Crossed hand Blessing’ Ephraim is still only ONE
tribe among the 10 tribes of the Northern Kingdom? And now they’re LOST!
What Happened to the Northern Kingdom?
They were taken captive to “the cities of the Medes” 2Ki
17:6 & :23 2Ki 18:11, in the year 723BC.
Eight hundred years later in 70AD. Josephus was writing at about the time of
Christ and also during the fall of Jerusalem. He says ALL Israel remained in
Media!
[Refer Antiquities book 11 chapter 5 verse 2]. “Ezra had received a letter from the King.
“so he reads the epistle at Babylon to those Jews that were there; but he kept
the epistle itself, and sent a copy of it to all those of his own nation
(Judah) that were in Media; and when those Jews had understood
what piety that King had towards God, and what kindness he had for Ezra, they
were all greatly pleased; nay, many of them took their effects with them,
and came to Babylon, as very desirous of going down to Jerusalem; but
then the entire body of the people of Israel remained in that country;
wherefore there are but two tribes in Asia and Europe subject to the Romans,
while the ten tribes are beyond Euphrates till now, and are an immense
multitude, and not to be estimated by numbers.”
Only 800 years later and Israel has increased immensely.
They are clearly not included as part of the Jews of the world at that time.
They are still not part of the Jews of today! Even the Jews today, 2000 years
later, as part of their weekly set prayers, pray, “Lord restore unto us the
lost ten tribes”. That “immense multitude” must have still continued to
increase in population. If you go to any history book that shows the migrations
of peoples across Europe over the past 2000 years you can see that it was
always in a westerly direction. Have the ten tribes disappeared off the face of
the planet? If so, then what about the ‘Crossed hand blessing’ in Genisus chapter 48?
You have one of three choices: --
Jacob was old and therefore quite out of his mind and that
passage is meaningless? So, you have every right to rip that page out of your
bible?
Or Jacob prophesied correctly but God has the right to
change his mind? (Or go back on his word) DUR I don’t think so!!!
Or Jacob was correct and God has created a company of
nations and a great nation somewhere in the world NOW TODAY! If so, Who?
Elimination
Using the bible prophecies about “Israel” or “The House
Israel” as our reference, let’s highlight the activities of the ‘Ten tribes’
leading up to the ‘later days’. The Jews past or present are not part of the 10
tribes, they are Judah. If you are looking for prophesies for the Jews, look for
the word “Judah”. God separated the two groups and calls the 10 Tribes
‘Israel’! So, for the ‘Ten Tribes’ we must use the words “Israel, House of Israel, Jacob or in some prophecies Ephraim".
Israel is ignorant of her special relationship
to God, Isa 42:19, Eze 39:28 - 29, “Neither will I hide my face any more from
them”
Israel will not be in the Jerusalem area, yet safe from her
enemies. 2Sa 7:10 “…I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant
them so that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more.
Neither shall the sons of wickedness afflict them any more,”
Israel was to spread abroad in this order, west, east,
north then south. Gen 28:14 “west, and to the east, and to the north,
and to the south;..”
God will use Israel to destroy unrighteous kingdoms and
world powers. Jer 51:20 - 24 “Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war:
etc..”
Israel to become a ‘Commonwealth’ of nation.
Gen 48:19 “…and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.” The Jews never
did that!
Numerous scriptures give insight into the characteristics of
Israel in the ‘later days’. Somewhere in the world now there MUST be a nation
that fits these prophecies, so who? You can choose any country you like; but
may I suggest the British Commonwealth and America. Consider: -
If they are Israel, they are ignorant of it! They are
virtually
uninvadable.
Britain expanded west to America, east
to India, north to Canada then south to Africa and Australia. God
has blessed them in war. America has become a great nation, and Britain a Commonwealth
of nation.
